AED Automated External Defibrillator Training
AED automated external defibrillator (AED) and Basic Life Support (CPR) Training
This comprehensive AED Automated External Defibrillator course teaches the essential skills required by an AED operator and gives First Aiders the confidence to know what to do in this kind of emergency. No previous first aid knowledge is necessary to attend an AED course. The course duration is 4 hours.
This course is suitable for anyone who has access to a AED Automated External Defibrillator device and requires the skills to be able to use it.
An AED Automated External Defibrillator is a invaluable addition to the First Aider as access to this kind of device can SAVE LIVES if the casualty has suffered a heart attack and the heart needs to be shocked back into normal rhythm.
Its is estimated that around 30,000 people suffer from a cardiac arrest in public every year. Sadly only about 1 in 10 of these survive. Early use of CPR and AED Automated External Defibrillators help save lives. Because of this more and more of these devices are being located in public places for members of the public to use in an emergency.
This is a easy piece of equipment to use and can save lives. Anyone can learn how to use one so that if ever needed the nearest person can pick it up and use it.
On this course you will confidently learn to perform Basic Life Support CPR and be able to confidently use a AED Automated External Defibrillator.
